Having Issues Accessing a site?
Are you having issues accessing a site?
We're sorry to hear you're experiencing issues using SubsOnly. We've created this guide to provide you with solutions to some of the most common issues (in order of frequency) when accessing a SubsOnly site:
- Are you an active subscriber of this Twitch partner?
- You need to have an active subscription to a Twitch partner to access their site. If you don't subscribe to their channel, you most likely don't have access. There are a few exceptions to this (such as if you've been manually whitelisted) but typically if you're not a subscriber you shouldn't have access.
- Did you subscribe less than three hours ago?
- If you've subscribed too recently you may not be able to access the site quite yet. Please wait three hours from the last time you saw the error message and try again.
- Is Twitch currently experiencing issues?
- If Twitch is having issues, we're probably having issues too. After all, we need you to login via Twitch and then we need to check your subscription statuses as well. To check if twitch is having issues, check @TwitchSupport and TwitchStatus.com to see if there are any ongoing issues. If you can't tell, feel free to ask us!
- Did we announce a planned outage, maintenance or downtime?
- You can find out by checking @SubsOnly.
- Is your Twitch Display name drastically different from your Twitch username?*
- Our system is pretty strict about display names matching usernames. If you have a display name that doesn't match your Twitch username you will experience issues when navigating SubsOnly. For most users, this isn't an issue as Twitch doesn't let you do this on your own; however some Twitch staff have display names that don't match their usernames.
- Does your Twitch Display name contain a space?*
- At some point, Twitch had a bug which added spaces to display names. If you've checked everything else above, this would be a good last step.
If you've checked all six steps above and you're still experiencing issues, please contact us using this support system. Telling the site owner that you're having issues accessing their site doesn't allow us to quickly resolve the issue, which we always strive to do. By contacting us directly we can immediately start a conversation and work on a resolution for your issue.
* = We have a fix planned for this issue however it's a low priority since it affects a small subset of our users.
